A time zone converter tells you what a given moment in one part of the world is in another. It is essential for scheduling international calls, catching live events, planning travel and coordinating with colleagues, friends or family across borders. This tool uses your browser's time zone database, so it handles real-world rules automatically.

How the conversion works

Every zone is defined by its offset from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). To convert, the tool treats your chosen date and time as the wall-clock time in the source zone, works out the matching UTC instant, then displays that instant in the destination zone. It also reports the exact difference in hours between the two.

Daylight saving and accuracy

Many regions shift their clocks for daylight saving time during part of the year, which changes their offset. Because this converter reads live time zone rules, it accounts for those shifts on the date you enter — so a conversion in summer can differ from the same one in winter.
